Choosing a used CNC router

Table size should be chosen around your sheet stock rather than your average part. A 5′ x 10′ table handles full sheets of plywood, MDF and most plastics without repositioning.

Spindle power and speed range matter more than they look. Aluminium and composites want a different power band from wood, and an underpowered spindle shows up as poor edge finish long before it shows up as a stalled cut.
