The Haas UMC-750 is a 5-axis universal machining center built around a 30″ x 20″ x 20″ work envelope and an integrated two-axis trunnion table, so a part can be machined on five sides in a single setup. It is the most common UMC on the used market, and there is a wide range of features and options available to configure each machine to a shop’s work.

Does the UMC-750 have different models?
In addition to customizing features and specs, Haas Automation offers UMC models built with some of the upgraded features referenced above:
- Haas UMC-750SS is the Super Speed version, with a 15,000 RPM spindle and faster rapids for higher-speed work.
- Haas UMC-500 is the smaller machine in the range, with 24″ x 16″ x 16″ travels and a 15.7″ platter.
- Haas UMC-1000 is the larger machine, for parts that will not fit a 750.
When considering a used Haas UMC-750, the spindle speed, the size of the tool changer and whether the machine carries through-spindle coolant are the specifications that most often separate two otherwise similar machines.
