North Carolina spans heavy energy equipment and precision work. Siemens Energy is restoring gas turbine manufacturing at its Charlotte campus, GE Aerospace assembles engines at Durham, Corning draws optical fiber in the state, and High Point and Hickory remain furniture country.
So the equipment runs from very large turning and boring capacity down to close tolerance aerospace machining, with woodworking and upholstery plant alongside it. Sell it to us for cash, offered the same day and paid in full ahead of removal after inspection, or list it on brokerage at no cost and pay us only if we perform.
There is, though it is a smaller and more deliberate one. Vertical boring mills, large horizontal boring machines and heavy lathes sell to a specific set of buyers who need exactly that capacity, and they are prepared to wait for the right machine. What they cannot work around is missing information, so weights, floor loadings, foundation drawings and disassembly notes matter more here than on anything else we handle. With those in hand a machine this size moves; without them nobody can quote freight honestly.
The woodworking equipment sells to its own market: CNC routers and nesting cells, wide belt sanders, edgebanders, panel saws and moulders, and dust collection sized for the building. Beyond that the maintenance shop and any metal fabrication used for frames and fittings are of interest to us directly. Furniture plants also tend to hold a great deal of material handling and finishing equipment. Send the full inventory, because the pieces we would buy and the pieces better sold to woodworking buyers are rarely the same.
It changes the schedule rather than the price. Campus and research sites usually mean escorted access, insurance certificates lodged in advance, fixed loading windows and sometimes a specific dock. All of that is workable when it is known early, and disruptive when it surfaces on the morning a truck arrives. Tell us the access rules with the equipment list and we will build them into the plan before any date is agreed.
Before, in almost every case. Moving a machine you intend to sell means paying to rig it twice, and the second move rarely improves what it fetches. Decide what is not making the trip while it is still connected and running, because a machine that can be demonstrated in place is worth more than the same machine standing in a corner of the new building. We can work to the consolidation date so nothing leaves before you are ready.
