Utah pairs defense work with medical devices. Northrop Grumman builds rocket propulsion in the north of the state, Hexcel makes composites at West Valley City, Merit Medical is at South Jordan, and Autoliv builds safety systems at Ogden.
That means close tolerance machining and grinding, composite trimming and routing, cleanroom and medical device production equipment, and the inspection gear all of it depends on. Sell it to us for cash, offered the same day and paid in full ahead of removal after inspection, or list it on brokerage at no cost and pay us only if we perform.
The validation belongs to your process rather than to the machine, so it does not transfer, but the evidence of how the machine was kept absolutely does. Calibration records, maintenance logs, cleanroom history and any qualification paperwork all tell a buyer this equipment was held to a standard. In medical work that record is worth real money, because the next owner starts their own validation from a much better place.
It is narrower and it is well funded, which is a better combination than it sounds. Routers, trim and drill cells, waterjets and ultrasonic cutting equipment used on composites sell to aerospace and recreation manufacturers who specifically want them. Dust extraction and tooling matter more here than on metalcutting equipment, so include them. Priced against composite comparables rather than general machining, this equipment does well.
Mostly in your favor. Dry air means far less of the surface corrosion that ages equipment in humid states, so Utah machines often present better than their hours suggest, and buyers notice. Altitude matters for compressed air and some process equipment rather than for machine tools. If your equipment has lived in a dry building its whole life, that is worth saying plainly rather than leaving a buyer to guess.
Before, almost always. Anything you will not use again should not be rigged twice, and a machine demonstrated in its current place is easier to sell than one standing disconnected in a new building. Decide what is not making the move while everything is still running and connected. We can work to your move date so nothing leaves earlier than you need it to.
